Tests

1. Launch Expensify app.
2. Open FAB > Create expense > Distance.
3. Enter Start and Stop waypoints.
4. On waypoints page, kill the app.
5. Relaunch the app.
6. Open FAB > Create expense > Distance.

Expected Result:
Waypoint fields will be cleared after relaunching app.

  • I verified proper file naming conventions were followed for any new files or renamed files. All non-platform specific files are named after what they export and are not named "index.js". All platform-specific files are named for the platform the code supports as outlined in the README.
  • I verified the JSDocs style guidelines (in STYLE.md) were followed
• If a new code pattern is added I verified it was agreed to be used by multiple Expensify engineers
• I followed the guidelines as stated in the Review Guidelines

Is this solution universal for draft expenses being created? For example, if you enter an amount in Create expense > kill the app > reopen it. Will it be cleared?

I've been testing, and in the last main (September 4 - v9.2.1-12 Develop), both Manual and Distance don't reset:

Hmm interesting, maybe i'm wrong or sth but when I test on latest main this afternoon, somehow it reset the value

Yeah, on the latest iOS TestFlight the value remained for me. My point here is that we should be consistent and not piecemeal the solution to apply to one expense type and not the other.
