Steps to reproduce the problem:

• Install fluent-bit version 3.2.9
• Use this config:

[SERVICE]
    flush           1
    log_level       DEBUG

[INPUT]
    name            windows_exporter_metrics
    tag             node_metrics
    scrape_interval 2

[OUTPUT]
    name            prometheus_exporter
    match           node_metrics
    host            0.0.0.0
    port            12000

• and run application:
  fluent-bit.exe -c "c:\Program Files (x86)\fluent-bit\conf\fluent-bit.conf"

Additional context
I expected to be able to run fluent-bit as a replacement for windows_explorer, but I couldn't achieve this. windows_explorer works as a separate application

It looks like you ran it for 5s there - I presume you left it longer?
Did you hit the endpoint exposed by the exporter to check the metrics?

I would add a stdout output so you can see actual metrics in the log too.

That's right, I gave it enough time to start up. The port request returns an empty response With standard output, I see metrics. But the output module does not output them, I tried to set match values in the output parameter. * | match '*' | match tag_name . But the result is the same. I change port to 2002

I had the same problem today, but I think this is located in the prometheus_exporter output running with with windows.

• I could run the windows_exporter_metrics input with stdout but not with prometheus_exporter output
• I could run the fluentbit_metrics input with stdout but not with prometheus_exporter output

whenever the prometheus_exporter is enabled the "no error" message shows:

==> had this problem only with the 32bit build of fluentbit for windows, changed to 64bit 4.0.1 and now I see prometheus metrics on port 2021!

yes. it started working after I changed from a windows 32bit to a 64bit build (running on win11, intel)
