Cannot install: node-gyp fails

Hello,

I realize this project hasn't been touched since 2013, but I'm taking a chance just in case. I tried installing the package but couldn't. The very first error message is probably the tell:

gyp: Call to 'pg_config --libdir' returned exit status 127 while in binding.gyp. while trying to load binding.gyp

My best guess is that you're using PostgreSQL for something in the installation phase?

I have no idea why I left the pg_config calls in the gyp file, but it is
definitely not needed. The only reason I took an existing gyp for this
project was because I wanted to see how to depend on zlib in a portable
way(and at the time my knowledge with gyp was basically zero).

I see! First time I encountered gyp, myself. That said, my interest in node-git-core was specifically for its delta generation feature, and digging in the source I noticed your mention that it was "slow and shouldn't be used indiscriminately" so don't rush to fix this gyp file on my account, it looks like I won't be using it in production. 😄

I would've been curious to see its performance compared to vcdiff.js, but it's just curiosity.
