Bug: No Clear Error Feedback in Test Panel

What happened?

Test panel lacks proper error handling or feedback when automation fails.

Steps to reproduce

1. Run automation with empty {} JSON
2. Execute workflow

• Why it failed (missing data / invalid config)

Triaged. The "no step-level error feedback in the test panel" is because Dry Run is not yet implemented for file-based workflows — automation-tester.tsx's handleDryRun currently just toasts "dry run unsupported" and returns, so the per-step result panel never populates (the Execute path does surface backend errors via toast). So this is really the missing dry-run/step-debug capability rather than a feedback bug. Re-labeling as an improvement and keeping it open; it's the same area as #1490 (step-by-step debug) and #1487 (per-node status). Assigned to me.

Related to #1483 (PR #1792). That PR already addresses the input side of "running with empty {}" — Execute/Dry-run are now disabled until the input is valid JSON and required fields are filled, with an inline reason.

The remaining part of this issue is per-step execution feedback — surfacing which step failed and why once a run is underway. That's the same surface as #1487 (node status indicators): both want run-time step status/error display in the automation view, which is a feature build (wire execution step results → node badges + error preview), not a quick fix. Suggest consolidating the runtime-feedback work with #1487. Keeping assigned; will scope alongside #1487.
