Looks like Fabric 2+ is the cause of the build failing. |
There was no check whether the given channel name, regular or default, existed. This caused the thread to fail and stall Will until it was restarted.

This supersedes #347 by also making the channel logic more robust to bad names.
It also improves handling of a default channel and saves on spamming the logs about not being invited to it.
Made it a separate pull in case it's not accepted.
