we are a Rancher Prime customer and are looking to integrate Rancher into our internal automation workflows — specifically using Python, since we already use Ansible heavily and Python ties in naturally.
Before diving in, I wanted to ask a couple of questions:
- Is this Python client still maintained?
- There hasn't been any visible activity on this repository for quite a while, so I’m wondering if it’s still considered supported or deprecated.
- Future client direction / OpenAPI
- I came across the Rancher API Reference that includes the OpenAPI specification. Is there any plan to publish or support a Python client generated from this spec (e.g. using openapi-generator)? Or would you recommend consumers of the API generate their own clients from that OpenAPI definition?
I'd prefer to stick to a supported or recommended path if one exists — and avoid investing in automation around an SDK that may no longer be maintained.
