About iEEG Reader #13605

Description

Describe the problem

Currently, mne bids is not reading .mefd/ for the IEEG dataset.

My understanding is that we should read it because it's a valid format in iEEG bids.

https://bids-specification.readthedocs.io/en/stable/modality-specific-files/intracranial-electroencephalography.html

What's the best way to proceed in this case?

I saw some datasets on OpenNeuro with this format; I counted 13 datasets.

Describe your solution

Implement some way to read this.

Describe possible alternatives

Create a way to perform a conversion in real time, instead of reading.

Additional context

Some example datasets:

Dataset Modality Data Format Status

Also, this format has some issues:

https://openneuro.org/datasets/ds006253 | ieeg | .pickle/.csv (Custom format (?), how can I remove this from open neuro) | Not supported
https://openneuro.org/datasets/ds005083 | ieeg | .dat (Nihon Kohden?) | Not supported
