I'm seeing this too on Xcode 11.7. Formatting was working fine initially, but stopped working after quitting XcodeClangFormat/Xcode and restarting them.

I'm seeing this as well. Some cpp files work, others doesn't. I haven't found out yet why. What would be a the easiest way of debugging an xcode extensions. E.g. where does the error logs go for this extension?

I got it working :).

Changed from clang 10 to clang 12. This fixes the "format entire file failed" issue. Under the hood the clang 10 crashes in a string parsing thing. Clang 12 works.

1. changed this in configure

LLVM_VERSION=12.0.0
LLVM_HASH=a3b729a9e1abd41af65c204cbcc14f6b706d2093ddeb981c21ebb492f1b87d13

2. Added the XcodeKit.framework to clang-format target, otherwise menu item is greyed out.

3. Enabled "Build Active Architecture Only" for both targets, to avoid linker errors.
