Make a number of structural changes required to add the first unit test to the application.
Add tests for all of the issue functions.
These seem to have been regressions that occured at some point during a rebase, I remember fixing these before. A small number of miscellaneous bug fixes across the application.

Add full unit tests for each function in the application. This will also require a number of large-scale structural changes to the whole application.
