Reimbursements should not count as Income

If you categorize a positive transaction as a bucket instead of Income, it shouldn't count as income, though it currently does.

I wanted to add that this is a little more complicated for work related reimbursements. I travel a lot and incur a healthy amount of expenses that are reimbursed to me up to 2 months later. My paycheck includes the reimbursements which look like windfalls.

To solve that, I would need to be able to have a transaction category split with the Income category. This can be hacked away with separate transactions, but it makes importing/reconciling more difficult and since I have percentages of paychecks being distributed to multiple accounts, I would have to calculate the correct amount for each account each pay period.

For paychecks with many split categories, I have an account called "Paychecks." I put in the gross (one could put in after-tax income instead if you dont care to categorize all your tax payments) and all the transfers to multiple accounts. It is work, work that needs to be done, and I dont think the budget software is a problem here. Then I make a transfer from Paycheck to checking account for the actual single payment to the checking account. I have a csv file with the splits that I can import every pay period to reduce the work.
In YNAB we used to split these all within the single transaction. I find I like using the "paycheck" account more.
That mostly solves the fact that an income transaction can't be split.

This is a separate issue than Buckets calling any positive transaction "income." The OP is a big problem!
Calling everything income makes it difficult to see real income for easily calculating tithing and especially messes up end-of-year reports.
