This comprises two sub-tasks.
- Smarter pointers. (Targeted for v2.1 June 1 2014). This will put the reference counting into the constructor and destructor so the user doesn't have to keep track.
- Use/integrate with V4 buffer management. (Targeted for October 2014). This will replace NDArrayPool with V4 buffer management (possibly via an adaptor class). Some investigation is clearly still required.
NSLS-2 are happy to assist with both tasks, but I have assigned to Mark in the first instance.
