This was very much vibecoded. As usual with these things -- while coredump is gone, somebody who is more versed in ggml/llama.cpp has to look at it and tell me whether this introduces a horrible performance degradation ;-)
Also, set_tensor_async has the same latent shape (fire-and-forget H2D reading from a host source that a caller could free); it didn't crash in this run, but the symmetric waitForEvent there would harden it.
