Homebridge 2.0 Readiness

The next major version of Homebridge is set to introduce some breaking changes to the plugin standard. Is there any plan to update this plugin so that we can keep using it? Not to be pushy at all, I just have dozens of automations and switches reliant on your awesome work!

I am glad this is helping you! I personally have moved off of home bridge (which I used mainly for cameras) to scrypted and frigate. I still occasionally use this for WakeOnLAN which was my use case for creating this haha. I was not aware about breaking changes and v2, thanks will take a look.

It appears that your excellent plugin (whose simplicity is a significant advantage) would not break any functionality on Homebridge 2, so the primary task would involve updating version numbers and having the Homebridge staff review it.

They could withhold it from the v2 update, which could constitute a major issue for me (and likely many others as well).

Taking a quick look at https://github.com/homebridge/homebridge/wiki/Updating-To-Homebridge-v2.0, I don't see anything that is used here that would break. Has anyone tried and seen this plugin break on 2.0? Would appreciate the testing!

The only suspicious one is the use of this.api.hap.Characteristic.On
