I'm David, a Pipeline Tools Engineer and Technical Artist based in Los Angeles, with 9+ years building production software for film, virtual production, and interactive media. I most recently worked at Halon Entertainment, where I spent nearly a decade supporting Fortnite cinematics, virtual productions, and cross-studio pipelines — writing Python tools, building render farm infrastructure, and shipping engineering solutions across 11 major productions.
My work lives at the intersection of engineering and creative production: Python tooling, PySide/PyQt UI development, Houdini, Unreal Engine, HLSL shaders, AWS Deadline, Docker, and pipeline automation.
When I'm not building tools I'm working on Unreal editor tools and workflows, and my personal RPG passion project Winds of Almerra.
