Resolve [run:log] timeouts

Sentry reports a lot of timed out log events.

Why is this? Is it just because we have a LOT of logs?

Would switching on batch logs help? Probably!

Would adding retries help! Probably!

I've snoozed warnings for a little while because before we investigate this, I want to a) switch on batch logs and b) add retries. All of which requires work.
