I am using a Raspi 3 B with a walimexPro BOYA M3 microphone (USB-C).
I am intending to use it outside in the field.
After booting, the "currently analyzing" field shows an empty spectogram - the recording service is recording silence.
I added an After=sound.target condition to my birdnet_recording.service-unit, so it waits for the detection of sound cards ->(look in the manpage) before starting arecord - now it works without restarting the recording service after every boot.

assuring all usb-mics are recognized before starting recording service

⚠️ The sound.target isn't a consistent solution as I just noticed... after adding a RTC clock and a power-off switch to my setup, some boot durations might have changed.

For now, default.target works - but I read it's a link to multi-user.target and I didn't test if you can use that for WantedBy= AND After.
Maybe it's because of the system pulseaudio.service has started then.
