Compiling gdal with the lto source, results in some compilation errors concerning graphite.

Taking a quick look at the ebuild, it seems like gdal has seperate configuration for lto which is disabled by default. Can you edit the ebuild, replace the line --disable-lto with --enable-lto, and try again?

Remember to cd into the ebuild directory and do repoman manifest after editing the ebuild. Also, maybe you just have to remove --disable-lto instead of replacing it, I don't know the exact configure options

Looks like some ODR violations in this package -- it is unlikely we will be able to support LTO with it without some kind of patch. Do the graphite errors go away if you do *FLAGS-=-flto*?

I would also try *FLAGS-="-fno-semantic-interposition". It fixes the one definition rule violations in LibreOffice, so it might work here.
