Action Performed:

1. Sign up with a Gmail address (without a +)
2. Select Manage my team's expenses > choose 1–10 employees > select QBO > skip the remaining onboarding steps
3. Navigate to Workspaces and delete the current workspace
4. Tap the magnifying glass icon (on the top right corner)
5. Search for the #admins room and tap it
6. On the task Invite your team, tap the hyperlink labeled
7. Tap the go back arrow icon (top left on the not found page)
8. Verify you are redirected to the admin room
9. Repeat steps 5 - 6
10. Perform back using the back device

Expected Result:

User should navigate back to the admin room

Actual Result:

The not here page appears again

I don't think so actually. We're fixing modal flows and that task just links to the workspace members page.

Please re-state the problem that we are trying to solve in this issue.

The "Not Here" page unexpectedly reappears when navigating back.

What is the root cause of that problem?

We already have logic in place to handle the device back button:

App/src/pages/workspace/WorkspacePageWithSections.tsx

Lines 174 to 189 in 5d3d7ef

However, this function does not account for scenarios where the "Not Found" page is displayed. In those cases:

• Pressing the app back button triggers goBackFromWorkspaceSettingPages
• Pressing the device back button calls handleOnBackButtonPress

This leads to inconsistent behavior when the "Not Found" page is shown.

What changes do you think we should make in order to solve the problem?

We should update the handleOnBackButtonPress function to explicitly handle the "Not Found" page case. Specifically, we should modify the logic at this line:

App/src/pages/workspace/WorkspacePageWithSections.tsx
