Action Performed:

Prerequisite: Account has at least one workspace available.
Prerequisite 2: Delayed submissions and approvals enabled.

1. Open the Expensify app.
2. Open any workspace chat.
3. Create a manual expense.
4. Navigate to "Reports" > "Reports"
5. Submit, approve and pay the expense, from the preview.
6. Open the expense report.
7. Note that "Marked as paid" system message, is displayed twice on report.

Expected Result:

"Marked as paid" system message should only appear once after the expense is paid.

Actual Result:

"Marked as paid" system message, is displayed duplicated on report, after paying the expense from preview, on "Reports" section on "Reports".

"Marked as paid" system message appears twice if expense is paid on "Reports" when paid from ND

What is the root cause of that problem?

When report paid BE sends both report actions with actionName MARKEDREIUMBURSED and IOU (inside red rectangular).

And here it's only checked for if MARKEDREIUMBURSED is from ND or not (isNewDot inside yellow rectangular). That was because we want to show MARKEDREIUMBURSED when reimbursed from OD and should skip if it's paid from ND and BE sends it.

Important

I think BE should fix this by

• either not sending MARKED_REIMBURSED when paid from ND
• or sends isNewDot: true when paid from ND
• or sends shouldShow true when marked reiumbersed from OD

If BE fixes either 1st or 2nd statements above, we don't need FE fix. If BE fixes 3rd one, we need changes on this proposal

The help site says

Go to Settings > Workspace > [Workspace Name] > Workflows > Delay submission.
Enable Delay submission* and set the frequency to Daily.

I don't see that as an option in OldDot

Are you suggesting that any submission that isn't manual or immediate is 'delayed'? ie. weekly, monthly?
