Issue found when executing PR #17138,

Action Performed:

1. Go to any chats
2. Click on any message
3. Press any character keys like a,b,c,d (not non-character keys like Enter, Shift)
   Verify that the composer is focused again and the above character is entered in the composer

Expected Result:

Composer should be focused again and the above character is entered in the composer

Actual Result:

Composer is not focused, character is not entered in the compose
