[Messages] The user name is not displayed correctly

Bug description

When choosing to send a message to the user name "Dr. Theodore Kuhlman" the name was shortened to "Dr." in the conversation/messages page.

Steps to reproduce

1. Create a new account
2. Verify the email of the account (This can be done in the Firebase emulator auth > three dots > edit user > toggle verified)
3. Navigate to People
4. Send a message to "Dr. Theodore Kuhlman" (If the user doesn't exist then create a user with that name)
5. Take note of the users name
6. Enter your message
7. Click send
8. Observe the name shown on the conversation page

Expected behavior

The name should be correctly displayed

Right now the code only displays the first word (which is people's first name in almost all cases). Fine no?

What are the edge cases that you would like to resolve which the current code doesn't handle well?
Is it mostly the Dr. Name Surname that is not handled well currently? If it's only that format, then I think it's fine. Almost no one would call themselves by that name.

When changing the logic, we need to make sure we don't make it worse for some names. If we use the first X (say 5) letters, most names would be cropped (my name would be Marti).

Off the top of my head.. what about if first name ends with a special character "." or other characters, I can test it out later to see what other characters can cause this

Yeah that seems reasonable without impacting the well formatted name. You could render the second name if the first name has <= 4 letters and finishes with a dot, otherwise render 1st name.

yeah thats why I'm thinking, but before we do that let me do some testing of names to see if any could cause this issue

I just passed the issue through claude convo here, adding a "prefix" option when creating an account seems like the way to go tbh, this is very edge-casey, lemme know what you think..

Mhhh, doesn't seem worth adding it in the form and db in my opinion. I would rather keep the system as clean as possible (less maintenance hassle) unless it adds real value.

Then check out the other options that are in the convo and let me know especially the last convo with all the other types of prefixes

Option 2 seems best to me, simple and would handle lots of cases (all that end for a dot)
