I kept having two issues. While you fixed the one error caused by reading utf-8 as ascii I went and fixed the other read statement because it kept crashing for me (I used sys.getfilesystemencoding() instead of hardcoding utf-8 ).
Second, after the most recent updates some of the zip packages files (Go) seems to be causing parse errors. Didn't fix that but now it does always test that it isn't placing a false into the key before placing it into the record.
