When will the *Count cmdlets in the Reports Module start working?

There are a number of cmdlets in the Reports module (e.g., Get-MgBetaAuditLogDirectoryAuditCount and Get-MgBetaAuditLogProvisioningCount) that report "Query option 'Count' is not allowed. To allow it, set the 'AllowedQueryOptions' property." There are no available commandline option to set, including ConsistencyLevel. The command just fails.
