It'd be great to be able to import the divelog from my Suunto Ocean Dive Computer.

This is already possible with the latest development release in a bit of a roundabout way:

• First you have to sync your dive computer to the Suunto app.
• Then you export a JSON formatted dive log from the app.
• You transfer the dive log from your phone or tablet to a desktop.
• On the desktop version of Subsurface you can import the JSON file into your dive log.

You can also do the same with the .fit file export, but the .fit file does not contain all the details that are in the JSON.

can you describe the way how to import the downloaded json file? I can only find a fit import.

Anyways a direct import would be way easier and i would not need a laptop with me to log my dives

First of all, make sure you are on the development release of Subsurface. New features are available there first. On https://subsurface-divelog.org/, click on Latest Dev Release, then download and install Subsurface from there.

After you have installed, start subsurface. In the menu bar at the top of the screen click "Import", then "Import Log Files".

In the selection screen open the .json file you want to import.
